Car Hire
We are a third party agent for an independent car hire company and have been offering their services to our clients for many years.
They offer an excellent choice of quality vehicles – from small compacts to people carriers and mini-buses – all at competitive prices with a back up service that is second to none.
Baby seats, child seats and booster seats can all be reserved at the time of your booking.

Insurance
All vehicles come with basic insurance cover, unlimited mileage and one extra driver may be added free of charge.
CDW Cover
Collision Damage Waiver is always an optional extra with any hire car contract and will be offered at the point of collection of the vehicle.
Many of our clients would like to take advantage of the protection that this cover gives but find the price prohibitive. As an example, for the smallest vehicle group basic CDW cover costs €7 per day – and this excludes windows, tyres and lock damage.
A better option does exist however. It is possible to take out a full year comprehensive cover policy with a UK company for £39.99 which is about the same price as 1 week of cover if bought locally.
The link below will take you directly to their website where you can learn more, read the full terms and conditions and initiate the policy.
Tips and Hints regarding Car Hire
- If you decide to take out a yearly CDW cover policy or already have one, then you should confirm with your chosen hiring company that they will accept the cover you have. Some companies will insist at the pick-up point that you take their own cover and may refuse the vehicle to you if you do not.
- Check the fuel policy. The fairest option is either “full out and full back” or “return the vehicle with the same amount it had at the time of collection”. Again some companies will insist on “full out and empty back”. They sell you a tank of fuel at their own (usually inflated) price and you then bring the vehicle back empty – which of course nobody ever does. The remaining fuel is then sold again to the next hiring client.
- Breakdown cover. This should not be an extra. All bona fide hiring companies will have their own arrangements to cover breakdowns and this cost should not be passed on to the hirer.
- All of these “additional extras” can end up costing more than the initial cost of hiring the vehicle. If you are making your booking through an online third party broker you will not get the chance to verify these points with the actual hiring company until you have confirmed the booking, made your credit card payment and received your confirmation voucher.
Hopefully this information could help you avoid any unpleasant surprises.
